After a few minutes of tapping and typing on her tablet, she was able to locate all of the items that were needed to complete the package. The one thing she could not give me, however, was a final price. That information would have to come from the owner/manager of the store and she wasn't available that day. So, in blind faith and out of desperation, I told her to place the order and let me know the final cost when it arrived.

2. SHOP LOCALLY FIRST!!! Never again will I assume that the best prices are online! But even if the online prices are a few dollars less, is it really "worth" it? I would MUCH rather deal with a real live person, face-to-face, than an automated computer around the world. Shopping locally helps to put food on the table for our family, friends and neighbors (like Felisha) and also increases the strength and bonds of our community.

Amazon had a good price on a package of items that our daughter needed for one of her pets so we placed an order. Unfortunately it was damaged during shipment and was returned to Amazon for a refund.

1. Felisha (and others) at "The Pet Stop" has always provided super-friendly services. They know us and greet us when we come in each week. They're EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable on a wide variety of animal-related topics. If they don't know the answers, they will find the answers. "I-don't-know" is NEVER their final answer! And they can easily compete with the big chain stores like Petco and others.

Nice selections and great people. Also great for boarding cats and dogs. Animals are well taken care of. A+

Fast forward...3 days later, on December 23, everything arrived at "The Pet Stop". My wife hurried to the store to pick it up. After verifying everything was there and nothing was damaged, it was time to ring it all up and pay for it. Amazon's price was approximately $150. I was expecting to pay AT LEAST that much and possibly as much as $200 at the store that day. In reality...it was LESS than $130!!!

Before buying any pet-related accessories and/or equipment from Amazon (or other online retailers), talk to one of the ladies at The Pet Stop!

They don't have a huge selection, but they do have a nice variety of good quality pet products. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. It's clean, well organized and the staff seems friendly.

This place is horrible. Took gold fish up there and was told we would get store credit. Wasn't expecting a lot to be honest but at least a little something. Later to find out that they refused to give any credit at all

It was too late to re-order the package and have it delivered before Christmas so, on a whim, I went to "The Pet Stop" to see if I could find a comparable set-up even though I figured it was going to cost a bit more than the good price I'd found on Amazon.

This store is absolutely wonderful in all aspects! The store is always spic and span and the employees are always very nice and always have a warm smile to greet you with. It's obvious that this store is ran by someone who knows what they are doing and how to treat customers. The owner is especially wonderful because she is very attentive and genuinely concerned with any issue you may be having and is willing to help in any way she can. All of the employees are this way. They take pride in what they do and it shows. The prices are also very reasonable as well. This is a professionally ran store that covers every aspect of ensuring that your experience as a customer is top notch. Go check them out. Everyone is great there. My pal Mortee and me will forever be satisfied customers! Thanks Pet Stop!

Although I will continue to do some online shopping, it'll no longer be my first choice. I'm going back to shopping locally FIRST. Please join me!

I explained my dilemma to "Felisha". Without hesitating, she went right to work tracking down the various items that were needed in order to put together the same package that we had initially found on Amazon. Knowing how hard it is for small businesses to compete with the prices offered by large online corporations, I was expecting to pay at least $40-$60 more...and I was OK with that as long as it would be here in time for Christmas which was now less than a week away.
